Andrian on the wine route

Holidays surrounded by sun, a unique mountain world and numerous activities and enjoyment options!




A popular, easy hike goes from Andrian/o to the castle of Hocheppan. In the castle there is a private inn and you have a wonderful view over the whole valley. There you can also visit the Chapel of St Catherine with its Romanesque frescoes.


Mölten Tschögglberg

Just 20 minutes from Andrian you arrive to Mölten/ Meltina from where you can make many different hikes. You can walk through larch meadows and enjoy the wonderful views over the Dolomites and many other mountains.


The Dolomites

Rosengarten Hike: By car from Andrian to the Paolina Chair Lift. Route: Ride the Paolina Chair Lift to an altitude of 2,239 meters. Continue on the Hirzl Trail (No. 549) until you come to the Rotwand Hütte (2,280 m). Proceed via the Schafsteig (Via delle Feide) until you come to the Campedie Chair Lift. Descend via Trail No. 544 to the valley.  4-5 hours


Ulten valley

Explore the farming culture on a delightful walk in the Ulten valley.This popular loop trail leads from Kuppelwies(about 40 minutes by car from our hotel)  via St. Nikolaus to St. Gertraud and back on the other side of the valley. The trail is very popular with all age groups due to the very slight difference in altitude (approx. 300 m), and a total walking time of approx. five hours. It leads along many traditional farms through forests and meadows and is a great way of discovering the valley’s oldest and most beautiful farm houses. You will feel transported back to a simpler age and admire the beautiful houses with their shingle roofs, lakes and gardens. If you don’t feel like walking too much, you can do part of the way and then take a bus back to the departure point


By bike to Bolzano

A cycling path takes you from Andrian first along the river Etsch and then along the river Eisack into the center of Bolzano. The journey lasts 1.5 hours.


A ride to lake Montiggl

Another comfortable bike path takes you to the lakes of Montiggl, where you can enjoy a cool bath in the lake or in the outdoor swimming pool.



Every August it’s celebrated the traditional “Strudelfest” on the main square of the village. More than hundred different sorts of cakes are backed by the villagers.


Wine evenings

Every Wednesday evening in July you can taste and smell typical wines of the surroundings. The event takes place on the main square of the village


archeo Parc

How and where did the Iceman live 5000 years ago. Visit the “ArcheoParc Schnals” museum, in Unser Frau in Schnals situated at a height of 1,500 m. The purpose of this archaeological park is to recreate the past of the Iceman as vividly as possible.


Stairways to heaven
